This Privacy Policy applies to all InventoryMod products: the website (inventorymod.com), the Chrome Extension, and the mobile apps (Android and iOS). Where behavior differs between platforms, it is noted explicitly.
1. Our Core Principle
InventoryMod is a local-first application. Your business data — products, stock, orders, customers, suppliers — is stored on your own device or browser and is never transmitted to our servers. We do not sell, share, or have access to your inventory data.
2. What Data We Collect
Website (inventorymod.com)
- Contact form: Name, email address, and message when you submit a contact request.
- Log data: IP address, browser type, OS, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps — collected automatically by our web server.
- Cookies: Essential session cookies only (login state, security tokens). No advertising or tracking cookies.
Chrome Extension & Mobile Apps (Android / iOS)
- We collect no personal data whatsoever.
- All inventory data you enter is stored locally on your device or in your browser's storage.
- No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDKs are included.
3. Data Stored Locally by the App
The Chrome Extension and mobile apps store the following data only on your device:
- Products, categories, manufacturers, and currencies
- Stock levels and warehouse information
- Orders and purchase orders
- Customer and supplier records
- App settings and preferences
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it.
4. Permissions
Chrome Extension

Export files (XLSX/CSV/JSON) are generated in-browser and downloaded via a standard browser download — no additional permission required.
Android App

File sharing (backup, export) is handled via Android's built-in FileProvider and system share sheet — no additional storage permission is requested.
iOS App
The iOS app requests no additional permissions. File saving and sharing use the standard iOS share sheet (Files, iCloud, AirDrop, email, etc.) which requires no explicit permission declaration.
No product on any platform requests Camera, Microphone, Contacts, Location, or background access.
5. Export and Backup
All products include optional Export and Backup features. These are entirely user-initiated:
- Export (XLSX / CSV): Generates a file on your device or in your Downloads folder.
- Backup (JSON): Creates a full backup file you can save locally or share via Google Drive, iCloud, email, or any other app you choose.
We have no access to any exported or backed-up files.
6. How We Use Website Data
Information collected on the website is used only to:
- Respond to contact form inquiries
- Maintain and improve the website
- Detect and prevent abuse or technical issues
We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties, except when required by law.
7. Third-Party Services
The Chrome Extension and mobile apps include no third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, or crash reporting (no Firebase, AdMob, Crashlytics, or similar).
The website may use a third-party hosting provider subject to its own privacy policy.
8. Children's Privacy
Our products are not directed at children under 13. The apps collect no personal data from any user regardless of age.
9. Data Deletion
Chrome Extension / Mobile Apps
All data is on your device. Delete it by:
- Using Settings → Clear all data inside the app, or
- Uninstalling the app or removing the extension — all data is deleted automatically.
Website
To request deletion of any personal data submitted via the contact form, email us at sales@inventorymod.com. We will process the request within 30 days.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal data we hold about you. Contact us at sales@inventorymod.com to exercise any of these rights.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of our products after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
